We are a small photography business located in the Beltline District in Calgary. We provide a variety of photography services, mainly individual and family portraits, in our well equipped studio or on location.
Having started the Michael Brager Photography studio in Calgary about six years ago mainly for portrait photography, I have continued to enjoy landscape photography as well as film photography and film development.
MY STUDIO IS FOR RENT!
Photographers: Rental includes equipment such as cameras, lenses, paper backdrops, strobes, modifiers, triggers and constant lighting.
There is a change room, and instruction from me as needed. Bring your own memory card!
Prices are: $40 for one hour, $100 for 3 hours.

We love children and have a special corner in our studio just for the kids with toys, books and games!
The studio can accommodate up to five people. Please ask about location shoots, at home or another happy place for you and your family
Many people need these photos for social media and professional reasons. We’re happy to help with headshots, upper body shots, and suggestions about using social media effectively. The rate for a single photoshoot will apply and discounts are available for groups.
We can do both studio and out of studio shoots for all kinds of pets.
We offer high school students a 10% discount on photoshoots. Please bring someone with you to your shoot.
Our unique style adds punch to your portfolio. We recommend booking several shoots in and outside the studio
These are our favourite shoots to gain experience and build portfolios. New models in the Facebook group Calgary TFP Models Photographers Stylists are offered one free one hour TFP (Trade for Prints) shoot to familiarize with studio shooting and with Michael Brager Photography. There’s no obligation here, as we work to create goodwill and reputation in the modelling and photography communities
You decide. Bring at least two changes of clothes for an hour long shoot. Bright, comfortable clothing is best and hats and cool shoes are encouraged. There is a washroom available at the studio for changing clothes. We’ll discuss and decide your outfits before starting.
You’re on your own for makeup but are welcome to bring a friend or relative to help out.
Certainly. Part of our business is making art prints for artists and we are happy to print headshots and portfolio shots. Our prices are equivalent to big box store prices.
Of course. We have access to a catalogue of available sizes, framing and cool stuff. Just ask. Our prices are competitive with larger photo processing companies.
We are offering our fully equipped photography studio for rent to photographers needing studio space for their shooting needs. Our studio is at #204, 1235 – 17 Avenue SW and is equipped with strobes, constant lighting for video, soft box, umbrellas, beauty dish, large windows for natural light shoots, triggers, backdrops, bathroom, galley kitchen, makeup station, mirrors, ladder, furniture, children’s play area with toys. Instruction available.
$40 for one hour, $100 for three hours.
In our Portrait Studio in Calgary, we are convinced that every person has their own special and unique story to tell, and we as the ones, who are here to execute this, make this story fact by taking stunning portrait photography.
